Lanny D. Long, 60, of Vincennes, IN, passed away Sept. 25, 2020, at his home.Lanny was a 1978 Rivet High School graduate, and graduated from Vincennes University in 1980. He worked in the grocery business all of his life, and was the former owner and operator of Lanny's Red and White in Dugger, IN. Lanny also managed the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club, and was the owner of Lanny's Automotive Supplies. A member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, he was also a member of the Moose, Harmony, the Knights of Columbus, and the Vincennes Elks Club. In 1987, he became the youngest Exalted Ruler in the Elks.Surviving is his mother, Judie Long of Vincennes, IN; his sister, Jamie Lankford of Vincennes, IN; and his pride and joy, his niece, Olivia Lankford. At home is his dog, Bandit.Born Oct. 31, 1959, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Larry and Judy (Pruitt) Long. His father preceded him.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 2:00, at St. John Catholic Church. Friends may visit with Lanny's family from 11:00 - 2:00 on Wednesday, at the church.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
