Larry Albert Aikman Sr., 89, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on February 6, 2022, at Prairie Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington, Indiana. He was born on June 20, 1932, to the late Robert Aikman and Emma Foster Aikman in Washington, Indiana. Larry was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School. On May 26, 1954, Larry married Betty Lou Aikman and together they had three children, Deborah, Kathy, and Larry. After high school, he worked for B&O Railroad and later C&X before retiring after thirty-three years. He was a member of Faithway Baptist Church in Washington, Indiana. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, collecting trains, and watching western movies and going out to eat. He also loved to spend time with his grandkids. Larry's most cherished thing in life was his family, his family was his entire world. Surviving Larry are his children, Deborah Tuell (Larry) of Washington, Indiana, Kathy Aikman of Washington, Indiana; his daughter in law, Jan Aikman; his special friend, Mariann McKinney; his grandchildren, Brian Tuell, Mary Lou Austin, Robbie Aikman, Brent Tuell, Brittany Aikman, Brandon Aikman, Nacole Lovejoy, Balin Edwards; his great grandchildren, Austin Tuell, Madison Austin, Emily Austin, Ethan Tuell, Cooper Aikman, Sailor Austin, Brantlee Walls; his great-great granddaughter, Ameila Tuell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, and Emma; his son, Larry Aikman Jr. first wife, Betty Lou Aikman; his second wife, Mary Jane Aikman; his great grandson, Charlie Aikman; his brother, Richard Aikman; and his sister, Jeanette Edwards. Visitation for Larry will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St. Washington, Indiana 47501 from 4:00 - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St. Washington, Indiana 47501 at 11:00am.
