Larry D. Ellermann, 71, of Vincennes, passed away at 12:15 pm Friday, April 5, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was born August 20, 1947 in Vincennes to Donald and Ruth (Meyer) Ellermann.Larry owned and operated LD Ellermann Farms and had also owned Larry's Tavern in Decker.Larry was member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Knox County Dart League, and the Illiana Watermelon Association. Some of Larry's favorite activities were playing darts, hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. Larry graduated from Decker High School and served in the National Guard.Those left to cherish Larry's memories are his wife, Anita (Fox) Ellermann, whom he married on October 15, 2005 and were together since 1995; his children, Jeff Ellermann and his wife Kelli of Paducah, KY, Melanie Lister and her husband Brian of Kevil, KY, and Matthew Ellermann and his wife Carrie of Decker, IN; his stepchildren, Shaye Frye of Vincennes, and Lindsey Brown of Vincennes; his brother, Robert Ellermann and his wife Cheryl of Vincennes; his father in law, Charles Williams of Vincennes; his sister in laws, Nancy Ellermann of Vincennes and Debbie Dodson of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Cortney Harmon and her husband Allen, Alex Ellermann and fianc Payton, Makensie Ellermann, Tia Lawrence, Addi Lister, Reid Lister, Billy Strange and wife Sarah , and Brandon Strange; his step grandchildren, Landon Hinkle, Leighton Hinkle, and Axl Fry; and his great grandchild, Henley Harmon.He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Vicki (Williams) Ellermann; a brother, Donnie Ellermann; mother in law, Delores Williams, father and mother in law, James and Wilma (Allen) Fox; and a stepson, Joshua J. Fox.A Celebration of Larry's life will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Rastl officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Larry Ellermann.
