Larry Parish

Larry E. Parish, 79, passed away at 10:40 pm on September 16, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Larry was born on September 6, 1940 in Vincennes the son of Clifford and Goldie (Southers) Parish. He married Carolyn "Kay" Shafer on March 17, 1962.Larry served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. and of the Baptist faith. He had been a Construction Superintendent for many years and was also a barber. He retired from Homeland Security as a State Building Inspector. Larry was a member of the VFW, American Legion, All Weather Firing Squad and the 40 et 8. He was an avid Hamm Radio operator and enjoyed spending time is his garden. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.Survivors include his beloved family, wife, Carolyn "Kay" Parish of Vincennes; his children, Angie Warmuth and her husband Jay of Vincennes, Larry Parish and his wife Jane of Vincennes, Jerry Parish and his wife Maridin of the Philippines, David Parish and his wife Jennifer of Vincennes, Tami Fikes and her husband Kyle of Bicknell; sisters, Jeanette Fullington of Terre Haute, Margie McCormack and her husband Bob of Vincennes; brothers, Vonnie Parish and his wife Earline of Vincennes, Steve Parish and his wife Beverly of Vincennes; twenty two grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Phillip "Joker" Parish, granddaughter Nicole Parish and grandson TC Blackburn. Friends may visit with Larry's family from 10 am until the service time of 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
