Laurian Gayso

Laurian Gayso, 89, passed away on July 9, 2023 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Carmel, IL. Laurian was born on December 17, 1933 in Beacon Hill, MI and she is the daughter of Wallace and Delvina (Posey) Durocher. Laurian married Stephen Joseph Gayso, Jr. and he preceded her in death on November 28, 1998.

Laurian was of the catholic faith. She was a loving housewife and mother and enjoyed dancing and polkas.

Survivors include her sons, Dale Gayso and his wife Donna of Owensville, Mark Gayso of Mt. Vernon, IN; her grandchildren, Michael Gayso, April Gayso, Stacey Bailey, Chad Gayso, Kyle Gayso; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Laurian is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Delvina Durocher and her sister Lois Mytty.

Friends may visit with Laurian's family from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 305 E. Walnut St., Ft. Branch, IN 47648. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place promptly at 1:00 pm on Friday at Holy Cross with Rev. Gary Kaiser celebrating. Laurian will be entombed in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. The Gayso family has requested memorial contributions be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church. Holder Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Laurian and her family.
