Lester Edgin

Lester Lee Edgin of 1027 N. 14th, Vincennes, went to be with the Lord February 1, 2011. He had 83 years of life on this earth. He was born October 9, 1927 in Beal, Indiana to Billard & Myrtle (Watts) Edgin.Lester had worked at Prestolite and also did carpenter work. He served his country in the Marine Corp. and belonged to the American Legion and the V.F.W. Surviving is a son, Barry Douglas Edgin of Vincennes, four daughters, Shirley Casandra Snow of Indianapolis, Cynthia (Richard) Westfall of Avon, Debbie (Brian) Kaiser of Vincennes, and Kimberly Bringwald of Vincennes. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Rebecca (Neil) Sylvester, LouAnn (Bruce) Baldwinson, Kara Westfall, Ryan Westfall, Misti (Jason) Hill, Heather Kaiser, Bradley Kaiser, Patrick Daughtery Jr, James Daughtery, and Karisha (Curtis) Burton. Great grandchildren include Justin Sylvester, Rachel Sylvester, Swade Brown, Mariah Dunlap, and Jaden Hill, as well as his extended family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Evelyn (Godfrey) Edgin whom preceded him in 1991, a son, Mark Steven Edgin , a brother, Freddie Edgin, and a sister, Virginia Clouse.Graveside services will be held at a later date.
