Leta Meyer

Leta Virginia (Abby) Meyer, 93, formerly of Vincennes, passed away on January 26, 2013 in Lehigh Acres, Florida.She was born January 10, 1920 in Elizabethtown, Illinois to Henry and Amy (Bowers) Abby and was raised in Albion, Illinois. Leta was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vincennes and moved to Fort Myers, Florida to be near her daughter and son-in-law. Leta and Ken moved to Vincennes in 1950 where they owned and operated the Ken Meyer Seed Company.She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Hargrave and her husband, Richard of Fort Myers; a granddaughter, Amy Hargrave of Fort Myers; a grandson, Brian Hargrave and his wife of Holly of Montclair, NJ; and three great-grandchildren, Holden, Ava, and Hudson.Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Louis "Ken" Meyer whom she married November 4, 1939 in Henderson, Kentucky and passed away on June 17, 2003.Funeral services will be held 2:00 Thursday, July 31, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Clemens officiating. Entombment will in Tower Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time on Thursday.
