Linda F. Bowens, 76, of Monroe City, passed away at 3:39 pm Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her residence.She was born November 24, 1942 in Sumner, Illinois to Jackson and Karen (Emmons) Glosser.Linda retired as a surgical technician at Good Samaritan Hospital and was a member of the Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing, crocheting, cross stitch, quilting, and gardening.Surviving are her children, Robert Glosser of New Castle, Georgianna Ragsdale of Monroe City, Frankie Tate of Lawrenceville, Rachel Evans of Indianapolis, John Tate of Sanborn, Courtney Bowens of Colorado, John Trevor Bowens of Oakland City, and Madison Bowens of Washington; her sister and brother, Frankie Linder of Lawrenceville, and Jackson Glosser of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, David Schultz, Georgianna Schultz, and Keagan Sims; and her great grandchildren, Kenadee McGuire, Taylor Schultz, and Gage Schultz.Per her wishes, Linda will be cremated and will have no public services. Goodwin Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
