Obermeyer, 79, of Vincennes,IN, passed away January 5, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital.Linda was a homemaker, and also helped around the family farm. She was a great cook who enjoyed taking care of her family. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she loved to decorate her house for the season. A member of St. John Lutheran Church, she had sung in the church choir.Surviving are her children, Debra Stafford and her husband, Mark, Cindy Taber and her husband, Alan, Jeffrey Obermeyer and his wife, Marnie, Angie Worland and her husband, Mike, Pam Robinson and her husband, Jim, and Brad Obermeyer and his wife, Kaci; her grandchildren, Erin Johnson and her husband, Eric, Josh Stafford and his wife, Christy, Travis Stafford and his wife, Rachel, Nicole Boone and her husband, Eric, Jason Taber and his wife, Lauren, Ryan Taber, Emily Spurgeon and her husband, Alex, Ali Vasquez, Kara Obermeyer, Alex Worland, Abby Worland, Dallas Sylvester and her fianc, Jacob Williams, Paris Robinson, Maverick Robinson, Mallory Obermeyer, and Megan Obermeyer; her great-grandchildren, Delaney Stafford, Henry Stafford, Luke Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Owen Stafford, Lane Stafford, Gabriel Vasquez, Milo Spurgeon, Felix Spurgeon, and Barron Williams; her sister, Ruth Cardinal of Vincennes, IN; her brother, Harold "Butch" Cardinal and his wife, Sarah, of Vincennes, IN; and several nieces and nephews.Born March 27, 1941, in Knox County, IN, she was the daughter of James and Mary (Bono) Cardinal. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Henry Louis Obermeyer, whom she married July 17, 1959; her son, Steven Obermeyer; her sister, Suzanne Coffman; and her brothers, James, Leroy, Billy, and Ralph Cardinal.Friends may visit with Linda's family from 10:00 - 12:00 on Saturday, January 30, 2021. The visitation will take place at the family farm, 259 W. Obermeyer Lane, Vincennes, IN. People attending are asked to remain in their cars. A private family service will be held.To assist children with Down's Syndrome, donations may be made to KCARC for the 1972 building, and to help with breast cancer, donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospital for Women's Imaging.Tribute Video
