Lisa Pierson

Lisa Ann Pierson, a resident of Vincennes, Indiana was born June 26, 1964 in Springfield Ohio, to the parents of (deceased) Frank and Lavinia Pierson. She left this present life January 17th, 2019 at 54 years of age. She leaves behind a sister, Ms. Sarah J Pierson of Vincennes, a brother Mr. Frank E Pierson (Carla), of Birmingham Alabama, a brother Pastor Danny Pierson of Vincennes, a sister Angie Pierson of Springfield Ohio, and Lisa's fianc Mark Giar of New Albany Indiana, who she was to marry on August 24th of this year. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, scattered about the US.Lisa went to Washington Elementary in Springfield Ohio, Schaeffer Junior High in Springfield, and graduated from Urbana High School in 1982. Lisa went on to study at Erie Business College in Erie PA where she graduated in 1995 with an associate degree in business management.In 2010 Lisa had a major health crisis, but through her faith and determination she fully recovered to become independent and active in her community of faith. Even while in recovery she served others in the rehabilitation center she lived. She sought out ways to serve in her church life. Lisa desired to help others in ways they couldn't help themselves.Lisa lived all her life in the Midwest, settling down in Vincennes Indiana to help at the ministry, Higher Bound House, in Vincennes. She enjoyed cooking and baking while she interacted and mentored young people with whom she came in contact. Investing her time, talent and treasure in the lives of young people was her purpose, and she loved serving her Savior, Jesus Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts and making diamond art pictures. She regularly attended the Edge Church and Thursday Church in Vincennes.In lieu of flowers, Lisa would like for you to contribute in her name to Higher Bound House, 300 North 5th Street, Vincennes IN 47591.Arrangements will be made at the convenience of the family.
