Lona Wade

Lona Mae Wade, 82, of Washington, Indiana went to her heavenly home on November 15, 2022 at 5:02 pm. She was born on December 4, 1939 and was the daughter of Sam and Esther Purdue. Lona had worked for several years in the grocery business. She was a loving a wife, mother, grandma, and wonderful caregiver to her mother. She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Herschel Fred Wade; children Freddie Wade, Sherry Jo Giese (Paul); grandchildren, Melissa Jo Hargis (Will) and Justin O'Connor (Annie); and a great-granddaughter Audrina Jo Hargis also referred lovingly as "her little monkey". Lona is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jimmy Purdue. A funeral service will be held at Sugarland Memory Gardens on Monday November 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the mausoleum chapel. Pastor Brad Rainey will officiate. All family and friends are invited to attend. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Lona.
