Loretta Faye (Kingan) Donovan, formerly of 2405 E. St. Clair Street went to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday evening, March 31, 2013 after a long life of loving and serving her Lord and family.She was born December 15, 1921 in Hancock County, near Greenfield, Indiana, the daughter of Albert and Ruth (Day) Kingan.Her husband, Wayne M. Donovan, whom she married June 28, 1941, preceded her in death on June 18, 1984. Surviving are three sons, Larry (Rita) of Vincennes, Robert (Beverly) of Indianapolis and Bill of California, one daughter Linda of Florida. Loretta was blessed with nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by half-sister Vera Moon of Terre Haute and step-sister Mary Arnold of Vincennes. Also, preceding her in death was brother Ed, sister Hilda Mae, step-mother Mary Gladys, step-brother Jim Stone and step-sister Gertie Walker.Loretta was a longtime member of the Free Methodist Church where she served as secretary for several years, and attended Faith Baptist Church in Avon, Indiana. She retired from the American National Bank and prior to that was employed at Sears Catalog Sales for almost twenty years. She was a member of the Charter Chapter of ABWA and a member of Fort Sackville Civitan Club serving as president in both organizations.A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 5th at Goodwin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 (Noon) until the time of the service.
