Lowell G. "Jack" Lauderdale, 81, passed away at 6:00 am on February 18, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side. Jack was born in Pike County on November 25, 1937 the son of Jesse and Thelma (Houchin) Lauderdale. He married Sharlyn Jones on November 16, 1969 and she survives and in November they would have celebrated fifty years of marriage.Jack served his country in the United States Army and worked in construction working out of the Local 181 Operating Engineers Hall. Jack lived to provide for his wife and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, He loved life and loved being around people. Jack was also a member of the American Legion.Survivors include his wife, Sharlyn Lauderdale; children, Tracy Lauderdale and his wife Patty, Pam Phillips and her husband Jeff, Kay Snider and significant other Steve Garland, Brenda Taylor and significant other Danny Deckard, Rodney Frederick and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Tyler Lauderdale, Amber Hutton, Candace Schuessler, Cassie Melton, Jason Grimme, Rich Cary, Chad and Josh Taylor, Mike, Christy and Brittany Frederick; eleven great grandchildren and sister, Pat Fulkerson and her husband Bill. Jack was preceded in death by his parents.Friends may visit with Jack's family from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. Jack's funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Thursday with Dale Biehl officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
