Luella M. Black, 94, of Monroe City, passed away at 8:27 am Saturday, December 5, 2020 at BridgePointe Health Campus.She was born on September 20, 1926 in Vincennes, Indiana to Thomas and Marie (Allen) Cooper.Luella was skilled and very talented at making custom draperies and blinds and loved raising her children. A member of the First Baptist Church, Luella's family meant the world to her.Surviving are her children Sue Harrell and her husband Phil of Monroe City, Jeff Black and his wife Lisa of Wheatland, and Lance Black and his wife Kim of Indianapolis; her siblings Larry Cooper of Vincennes, Nancy Schaeffer of Vincennes, Helen Twitty of Cumming, Georgia, Katherine "Kitty" Keller of Vincennes, and Ginger Wollerman of Vincennes' her grandchildren who she was so proud of, Morgan Black, Eric Black, Colby Black and his wife Abby, Chance Black, Clint Harrell and his wife Maggie, and Amada Parman and her husband Cody; and her wonderful great grandchildren, Cambry Black, Kyler Black, Isabelle Harrell, Owen Harrell, Nolan Parman, Emmett Parman, and Reese Parman.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lance Black whom she married on November 15, 1952 and preceded her on May 8, 1990; and siblings Thomas Cooper, Robert Cooper, and Idella Pipher.Graveside services will be at Noon, Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Mt Zion Cemetery w Ray Tromley officiating.
