Luella Vantlin

Luella Haggard - Vantlin, 90, went to be with the Lord at 10:05 am on Friday, February 13, 2015 at BridgePointe Health Campus. Luella was born on October 8, 1924 in Vincennes the daughter of Ben and Lilian (Morris) Fox. Her parents preceded her, as well as a daughter Linda (Haggard) Graham - Peach and her husband, John ; her husband, Meredith "Mert" Vantlin; her son-in-laws, Terry Graham, and Jerry Risley; an infant brother, Leon Fox; grandsons, Rodney Graham and Curtis Risley; a granddaughter, Leslie Neer; a great-grandson, Braydon Joseph Blaize; a sister and brother-in-law, Lorna and Bob Neal; and her former husband, Burl Haggard.Luella attended Free Methodist Church and worked at Johnson Controls in many capacities for several years. She loved to dance and went to the singles dances every Thursday night dancing every dance. Luella enjoyed working, bowling, going to auctions and garage sales and was a member of the American Legion and Moose.Survivors include her daughters, Mary Blaize of Vincennes, Betsey Neer of Burlington, KY, Brenda Peach and her husband Skip of Bloomington, IN, her fifth daughter, Sharon Risley and her family, sister, Nancy Roach and her husband Bill of Vincennes; fifteen grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Luella will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Fellows officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Luella's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday.
