Luis Hernandez

Luis Ramirez-Hernandez, 80, passed away at 6:35 am on February 11, 2020 at the Villages at Oak Ridge. Luis was born on August 19, 1939 in Jerecuaro Guanajuato, Mexico the son of Faustino and Julia (Hernandez) Ramirez.Luis was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and loved to work outside in his garden and flower beds. He also loved his son and daughters very much.Survivors include his son, Juan Ramirez of Washington; daughters, Anna Saavedra of Chicago, IL, Cintia Ramirez of Jerecuaro Guanajuato, Mexico, Yuliana Ramirez of Chicago, IL; sister, Guadalupe Ramirez of Jerecuaro Guanajuato, Mexico and his grandchildren, Stephanie Saavedra, Edwin Saavedra, Gaspar Saavedra and Cristina Aguilar. Luis was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Carlos and Samuel Ramirez and one sister, Juliana Ramirez.Friends may visit with Luis' family from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd St., Washington, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin immediately following the visitation starting at 6:00 pm with Rev. Paul Ferguson, Rev. Juan Ramirez and Yvonne Evans celebrating. Luis will be laid to rest in Jerecuaro Cemetery in Jerecuaro Guanajuato, Mexico. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to assist the Ramirez family with arrangements.
