Lynn Elizabeth "Beth" (Schneider) Cooper, 58, 4546 E. Stagecoach Rd., Vincennes, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at her residence. She had been diagnosed on December 12, 2010 with type IV brain cancer and fought a hard fight.Beth was born December 15, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of William Nicholas and LaRue (Beatty) Schneider. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of Tennessee with an emphasis in Deaf Education and Sign Lauguage. She was a secretary for the Vincennes Community School Corporation at Tecumseh Harrison Elementary School. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and enjoyed bird watching, quilting, painting, movies, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and loved to travel.Survivors include her husband, Philip Cooper of Vincennes; three sons, Will McCormick and his wife Brittney of Vincennes, Ry McCormick and his companion Jennifer Rath of Vincennes and Eli McCormick and his wife Kaleena of Vincennes; stepchildren, Shane Cooper and his wife Heather of Rockville, IN and Alicia Cooper and her companion Mike Caswell of Vincennes; grandchildren, Mac McCormick, Ella McCormick, Carson McCormick and one on the way; sisters, Rebecca Morreale of Trumansburg, NY and JoAnn Schneider of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.Preceding her in death were her parents and first husband Clarence James "Mac" McCormick.Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Garbe and Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 520 S. 7th St., or Vincennes Pet Port, 112 River Rd. both in Vincennes.Online condolences may be sent through www.goodwinfamilyfh.com
