M. Frances Field, age 91, of 810 Broadway, Vincennes, passed away at 8:09 pm Monday, January 31, 2011 in Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born October 13, 1919 in Lawrence County, Illinois to William & Elma Lockhart Snider.Frances moved with her parents to Decker Township when she was a teenager and graduated from Decker Chapel High School in 1939. She married Gene Field Sr. and raised her four children on the farm they owned. She was active in the Democrat Party in the 50's & 60's. She was a life time member of Eastern Star Patoka Chapter and loved to sew, embroidery, quilt, and travel. Her love for her family always came first and was always there for each of us. Holidays were always special occasions for family gatherings.Surviving are her children, Barbara Field, Curt Field and his wife Bonnie both of Vincennes, and Gene Field of Wauchula, Florida, her grandchildren, Blaine Durham of Decker Chapel, Rockie Durham of Vincennes, Jason Field and his wife Wanda of Sullivan, Kamilla Aeschelim and her husband Keith of Lebanon, Kimberly Field and fiance Ron Aldridge of Oakland City, Karlene Young and her husband David of Lawrenceville, Konni Harvey and her husband Dan (Boone) of Decker Chapel, Kandy Robinson and her husband Fred of Pace, Florida, Dan Field and his wife Amy of Vincennes, Derick Field and his wife Jennifer of Monroe City, Lisa Thorne of Vincennes ,and Crystal Lewis and her husband Michael of Guam, Great Grandchildren include Danielle Berry and her husband Joe of Vincennes, Morgan Gansman and her husband Jeremy of Evansville, Ashley Durham of Riverside, CA, Meagan Baker of Washington, Chelsey Davis and her husband Tyler of Lawrenceville, McKenzie and Nicholas Baker of Oakland City, Emily and Cydnee Witsman of Lawrenceville, Reghan and Devin Robinson of Pace, FL, Ira Field of Sullivan, Zeb Aschelim of Lebanon, Cody Field Daffron, Zayden Field of Vincennes, Lonna Wells, Maria Wells, Kaylee Wells, all of Decker Chapel,Blade Field and Briggs Field of Monroe City, Kiefer Stephens of Vincennes, Emma & Aeden Lewis of Guam, Misty Harvey, Ethan Harvey, and Adam Harvey and his wife Julie of Decker. Also surviving are her Great Great Grandchildren, Michael Hasler, Brodey Daffron, Serenity Davis, Willow Davis, Maggie Wells, Bryar Wells, and Alli Harvey, Allyssa Reed, Payton Seaney a sister-in-law: Mrs. Harry (Maxine) Snider and an extended family of many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her son, Dan Field, sister, Ruby (Honey) Deckard, brothers, William (Buff) Snider, Harry Snider, Charles Snider and great great grandson, Grant Allen Wells.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Evelyn Owens officiating. Burial will be next to her son in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 until service time on Friday.
