Marcia J. Yeager

Marcia J. Yeager, 85, passed away at her residence on February 3, 2025. Marcia was born on January 3, 1940, in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of Walter Gene and Josephine (Grannemann) Edwards. She married Edward Yeager on December 9, 1961, and he preceded her in death on October 27, 2010.

Marcia owned and operated Yeager Hardware with her husband Ed for many years eventually leading them to antique restoration. She was also very active outside of work where she was involved in many activities. Marcia composed her own music on the piano and was an accomplished player. She played slow pitch softball in her younger years and bowled on two leagues. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Pi, enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and could be found on many occasions playing a robust game of cards with friends and family.

Survivors include her sons, Edward L. Yeager and his wife Shannon of Driggs, ID, Joseph R. Yeager and his wife Amy of the Netherlands; her grandchildren, Hannah J. Yeager and Avery G. Yeager of Scotland. Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward and two brothers, David and Charles Dennis Edwards.

Friends may visit with Marcia's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN 47501. Yvonne Evans will officiate, and Marcia will be laid to rest next to her husband Ed in St. John's Cemetery. The Yeager family has requested memorial contributions be made in Marcia's name to the Washington Carnegie Library, 300 W. Main St., Washington, IN 47501.
