Margaret A. “Meemee” Vieck

Margaret A. Vieck, 69, of Vincennes, Indiana passed from this life on Monday January 30, 2023. She loved her Faith, Family, and Friends. She was born April 12, 1953. She was raised by her mom Alma Myers, Grandma Fern Myers, and her Uncle Jerry Goffinet. Her father was Lewis Myers. Margaret graduated from the first Senior Class of Rivet High School in 1971 and the Indiana Business College. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church, The Ladies Altar Society, and The Ladies Knights of Columbus. She was awarded the Brute Award for service to the church in 1996. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at the beach and Disney. On January 5, 1974, she married Ronald E. Vieck and became a farmer's wife and helped the farm by keeping the books and records for 30 years. Margaret is survived by her husband Ron; two children, daughter Brenda Vieck of Vincennes and her son Matthew Vieck and his wife, Katie of Tinley Park, IL; two sisters, Sandra Harmon and her husband Tom, and Janet Kitchen. Her Vieck family includes her father-in-law, Maurice Vieck; sisters and brothers, Maureen, Peggy, Janie, Chrisy, Bill and Debbie, Ed and Lee Ann, Brian and Kathy, Alan and Jean, Lori and Christian; and many nieces and nephews. She loved being "MeeMee" to her six grandchildren: Megan, Nick, Jake, and Lilly Brown of Vincennes and Amelia and Ryan Vieck of Tinley Park, IL. Margaret was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy; her parents Alma and Lewis Myers; grandmother, Fern Myers; Uncle Jerry Goffinet; Doris Vieck, Steve Vieck, and Jane Vieck. Visitation will be held on Monday February 6, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at The Old Cathedral Catholic Church. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. Burial will follow immediately after in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
