Margaret Hutchison

Margaret "Margie" Nadine Hutchison passed away at 8:58 PM on Wednesday Jan. 2, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital with her sister and daughter at her bedside after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on Feb. 9, 1955 to Robert and Cathy Hutchison. She was a 1973 graduate of Arlington High School in Indianapolis and then soon after relocated to Knox County. She started a career at Schott Gemtron in Vincennes in October 2000 where she was currently employed for over 18 years. Her greatest accomplishments in life were her 2 children and her 4 granddaughters. She spent time visiting her son Matt and his family as they traveled the world in the United States Navy and attending cheer competitions to watch her two granddaughters with her daughter Heather. She enjoyed spending the Holidays and any extra time she had visiting her parents and sisters in Indianapolis and hanging out with her girlfriends. Margie never met a stranger and everyone who encountered her adored her. She was the most giving person and always carried a contagious smile that attracted many. She was a dedicated worker and friend. Margie is survived by her parents Cathy & Robert Hutchison of Indianapolis; daughter, Heather (Jim) Chesterfield and their 2 daughters Caitlyn & Caleigh of Bristow; son Matthew (Christina) Spore and their 2 daughters Saylor & Journey of Annapolis, MD; sisters, Tracy (Bill) Snow and Gerry (Doug) Canfield both of Indianapolis; partner Michael Byford of Vincennes; 2 nieces and 2 nephews and their families all from Indianapolis; and her entire Gemtron family. Her dog Pez has been by her side since she rescued him in 2014. A celebration of life will be held at Goodwin Family Funeral Home at 524 Broadway St in Vincennes on Sunday Jan 6, 2019 from 2PM-6PM.
