Margie Irvin

Margie Ellen (Hoalt) Irvin, 89, of Vincennes, IN passed away February 17, 2022, at her daughter's home in Lafayette, IN. She was born April 15, 1932, to the late Louis and Dora (Cardinal) Hoalt. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Margie married, the love of her life, Carl Edward (Moe) Irvin on December 31, 1949. She worked as a cashier for many years at IGA and Schmidt's Key Market Stores. Along with her husband Moe, she was active for many years with the American Legion. Margie enjoyed crocheting and was happy to have made baby blankets for all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-granddaughter. She even left some for her future great-great-grandchildren. She also crocheted Christmas stockings for all family members that will be used for years to come. Margie was also a voracious reader of books. She will be deeply missed by all. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, and husband. She is survived by her children Mike (Jennifer) Irvin and Cindy (Dan) Clark; grandchildren Kelly Irvin (Brian Shots), Chris (Ashley) Irvin, Jaime (Shawn) Linder, Julie Barrows, Joni (Ryan) Koerner; great-grandchildren Gage, Jordan, Bailey, Madison, Brody, Anna, Owen, Mason, Liam, Eleanor, Ruby; great-great-granddaughter Maebelle; brother Ivan Hoalt; sister-in-law Sandy Irvin; and many nieces and nephews. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Ms. Irvin. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 11am - 1pm at 524 Broadway St. Vincennes, IN 47591. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 1pm with burial at Memorial Park following. Special thanks to the Franciscan Hospice caregivers.
