Marion Mason

Marion Mason, 95, of Vincennes, IN, passed away at 4;40 pm Saturday , June 19, 2021 at Oak Village Nursing Home.He was born January 3, 1926, to Henry Clay and Minnie Mason in Ricetown, Kentucky.Marion was a proud veteran of World War II and was discharged from the United States Navy on March 13, 1946. After the military he attended the University of Kentucky and received a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He worked for the USDA, Knox County Soil Conversation Service and retired in 1982. After retirement he worked for 11 years part time at the Knox County Surveyor's office. He was a member of the Community United Methodist Church, Elks, and the American Legion Post #73.He enjoyed playing golf, cards, working crossword puzzles, and traveling.Surviving are his wife Lorene Sanneman Mason whom he married on March 30, 1990; daughter Dr. Teresa Mason of Tucson, AZ; son Kevin (Martha) Mason of Vincennes; stepson Roger Sanneman of Vincennes; stepdaughter Sherri (Mike) Hickman of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren Courtni (Daniel) Webb of Rome, GA, Jordan (Lindsay) Mason of Orlando, FL, Victoria (Jason) Weiss of Michigan City, IN, Paige, Haley, Ashton, and Kiley Hickman of Hendersonville, TN; and great grandchildren Susie Webb of Rome, GA, and Noah Mason of Orlando, FL.Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev.
