Marjorie Jean Hannah, 85 Rural Route Monroe City, passed away Friday August 12, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Marjorie was born September 5, 1925 to the late Harry & Jessie (Setzer) Hannah. She graduated from Monroe City High School in 1943. Marjorie worked at Brown Shoe Factory for 26 years and then 26 years in central supplies at Good Samaritan Hospital. After retiring she volunteered 15 years at Good Samaritan Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the United States. She loved her church and taught primary class there for many years and was currently the treasurer. She always helped in any way she could. She is survived by her sister, Jessie Edna Glassnapp and her husband, Herman Glassnapp Jr. of Monroe City. She has 3 nieces, Brenda Glassnapp of Vincennes; Vickie Hannah of Vincennes; Jeanne Sue and her husband Donnie Walker of Tallahassee, Fl; nephew, Brad Hannah and his wife Debbie and their sons Ryan and Tyler all of Vincennes. Marjorie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James O. Hannah and Harry Edwin Hannah. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday, August 15, 2011 at Hamline Chapel Church with Rev. Brenda Wick officiating.
