Marvin Doane

Marvin Edward Doane, 76 passed away on May 30, 2012 at his residence. Marvin was born in Wheatland, Indiana on August 14, 1935 the son of Raymond L. and Florence (Oliver) Doane. He married Margaret L. Miller and she preceded him in death. He then married Harriet McCalpin and she preceded him in death as well. Marvin served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Korea. He was a Truck driver for UPS and then Yellow Freight for many years. Marvin loved hunting, fishing camping and traveling. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Moose. Survivors include his daughters, Angela Wardell of Linton; Lisa Begeman of Linton; son Roger Doane of Linton; step-son Barney Bass of Vincennes; brother, Richard Doane of San Diego, CA; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, three grandchildren, two sisters and one step son. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway.
