Marvin Lovellette

Marvin Lovellette, Sr. 79, of Vincennes, IN, passed away October 16, 2018, at his daughter's home.Marvin had been the manager of the frozen food department at Wal-Mart. He was a member of the New Heart Church. Marvin enjoyed putting together puzzles and doing crossword puzzles. His favorite program was the Walking Dead. In his younger years, he fished and pitched horseshoes. He once bowled a perfect 300.Born September 12, 1939, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Ernest and Dorothy (Hoalt) Lovellette, Sr. His parents; his wife, Carole (Byrd) Lovellette, whom he married April 9, 1960 and who passed away on March 15, 2007; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lovellette; and his half-brother, Ernest Lovellette, Jr. preceded him.Surviving are his children, Marvin Lovellette, Jr., Michelle Lovellette, Kelly Crews and her husband, John, and Kristy Lovellette, all of Vincennes, IN; his sister, Nancy Luking and her husband, Jim, of Vincennes, IN; his half-sister, Ethel May of Michigan; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.Friends may visit with Marvin's family from 11:00 - 1:00 on Thursday, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
