Marvin V. "Dink" McCarter, 70, of 350 Felt King Road, Vincennes, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Vincennes on August 31, 1942 to Russell and Cora (Neer) McCarter Sr.Dink was a self employed logger and enjoyed mushroom hunting and being around his family.Surviving are his children, Micheal A. and Shelly McCarter, Marvin H. and Gaye McCarter, Michelle and Keith Deisher, his companion, Anna Snider, all of Vincennes; his brothers and sisters, Grace Gilbert of Vincennes, Robert McCarter of Wheatland, Helen McCord of Vincennes, Jack McCarter of Bicknell, and Mack McCarter of Paxton.Also surviving are his grandchildren, Micheal McCarter, Mitchell McCarter, September McCarter, Dakota McCarter, Tabitha Risley, Morgan Risley, Brent Black, Brandy Myers, Ashley Deisher, Keith Allen Deisher Jr., David Helderman, Gage Smith, and Mollie Smith; and his great grandchildren, Cassidy Risley, Ellie Rehwald, Nathaniel Stevenson, Brennen Myers, Brelynn Myers, Naveh Myers, Kelby Black, Meredith Black, and Kelsey Deisher.Preceding Marvin in death were his parents, his wife, Shirley (Haubeil) McCarter, three brothers, Russell McCarter Jr., Walter McCarter, and Harold McCarter, and a great grandchild, Bryden Victor Deisher.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday January 14, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev.
