Mary Blackburn

Mary Carolyn Hayden Blackburn, 84, of Largo, FL, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL. She was born March 24, 1930 in Stanley, KY to the late Theodore Paul Hayden, Jr. and Gertrude Mulligan Hayden. She was a Florida Real Estate Broker at Mary Blackburn Realty and a Reservationist at Beach Place in Madeira Beach, FL. Mary enjoyed entertaining, decorating, crafts, sewing and painting. Aside from her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Theodore Paul Hayden, III and James Louis Hayden. She is survived by one son, James Douglas Blackburn and one daughter, Dr. Jaye Blackburn. She is also survived by two brothers, Marty (Marie) Hayden and Earl (Rose) Hayden, three sisters, Alice Gertrude Howard, Margaret Velotta, Anna Ruth (Charlie) Thompson. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Precious Blood Catholic Church and burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Father Bruce McCarty will officiate. Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Blackburn.
