Mary L. Bottoms, 62, of 801 Cleveland Street, Monroe City passed away Wednesday, April 4th at her residence.She was born on June 23, 1949 in Washington, Indiana to Robert & Juanita Margaret (Catt) Mattingly.Mary was a homemaker and volunteered at the Blue Jean Center. She enjoyed playing with and babysitting her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sitting outside.Surviving is her husband, Jerry Bottoms, whom she married on October 7, 1967, her children; Robert (Krista) Bottoms of Monroe City, Vickie Bottoms of Vincennes, and Samantha (Jason) McCrary of Vincennes; two brothers, Dave Mattingly of Vincennes, Jim Mattingly of Sebastian, Florida, and a sister, Shirley Whetstine of Sebastian, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brittney Bottoms, Andrea Bottoms, Gregory Bottoms, Phoenix McCrary, and Memphis McCrary.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Faye Bilskie officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Cancer Center.
