Mary Hansen

Mary Ann Hansen, 83, of Vincennes, IN, passed away March 4, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital.Mary Ann and her husband, Robert, owned and operated Hansen and Sons Trash Removal. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She belonged to several card groups, playing at the Knights of Columbus and the Harmony Society. Two of her favorite games were bunko and hand and foot. She also enjoyed IU basketball. A 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School, Mary Ann was active in helping to organize homecoming activities for many years.Surviving are her sons, Rob Hansen and his wife, Millie, of Monroe City, IN, and Moe Hansen of Vincennes, IN; her sister, Janice Selby and her husband, Charles, of Vincennes, IN; her grandchildren, Chad Hansen and his wife, Jessica, Aaron Hansen, Emily Cockerham and her husband, Jay, Jessica Decker, Andrea Hansen, Heather Ritcheson and her husband, Nate, and Chris Devers; and 11 great-grandchildren.Born March 4, 1936, in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Joseph and Ada Grace (Biddle) Thais. Her parents; her husband, Robert Hansen whom she married December 20, 1955 and who passed away October 25, 1995; her sons, Mark and Alan Hansen; her sisters, Rose Marie Spradling and Barbara Wheatley; and her brother, Bill Thais, preceded her.Friends may visit with Mary Ann's family from 11:00 - 2:00 on Thursday, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
