Mary (Cookie) Hopper, 75, of Vincennes, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Willow Manor Nursing Home. Mary was born on February 23, 1948 and was the daughter of John Robert and Anna Katherine (Ballinger) Pierson. Her husband and love of her life, Jim Hopper preceded her in death along with her younger brother John R. Pierson Jr. (Charlie) Cookie was a member of Free Methodist Church and loved her Lord. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making special meals for her family. She liked to go camping and going out on her son Rob's boat. She LOVED to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored, and loved being a mother and grandmother. You could always catch her out and about shopping anywhere and everywhere. Twice a year she always had to go play mega bingo. Cookie is survived by her three biological children, John Meadows, Rob (Mendy) Meadows, Tony (Jennifer) Meadows all of Vincennes; Her two step-children, Jimbo Hopper of Florida, Jamie Hopper of Vincennes; grandchildren, James (Sarah) Meadows, Stormy (Skyler) Fye, Mattye and Camdyn Meadows; 4 great-grandchildren, Peyton and Konner Meadows, Brooklyn and Copper Fye; She is also survived by one sibling, her younger sister, Sue (Ira) Ruby of Savannah Georgia. Cookie would not want any of her family or friends to be sad that she is gone. If she knew you were crying or upset she was gone, she'd tell ya for the love of Pete, quit it. She's finally happy she's with her husband again. Be like Cookie and be nice to EVERYONE you meet. Per Mary's wishes, she will be cremated with a private service at a later date. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mary.
