Mary Johnson

Mary J. Johnson, 74 passed away at 1:10 am on January 10, 2022 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Mary was born on February 12, 1947 in Oaktown, IN and she was the daughter of Forrest and Hilda (Gibbs) DeSchamp. Mary was a member of Oaktown Methodist Church and enjoyed driving around in her car visiting family and friends. She also enjoyed mushroom hunting in her younger years. Survivors include her sons, Gene Flaningam and his wife Angie of Vincennes, Marc Flaningam and his wife Amy of Vincennes, Shawn Flaningam and his wife Holly of Vincennes, Bradley Flaningam and his wife Christine of Bruceville, Tim Johnson and his wife Jamie of Bridgeport, IL; her siblings, Shirley Abrams, Carolyn McCarter, Sharon Simpson, Bruce DeSchamp, David DeSchamp; her grandchildren, Macy, Gabriel, Caleb, Jonah, Connor, Benjamin, Madeline, Avery, Brooklyn, Alivia, and Easton Flaningam, and Olivia and Liam Johnson. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jon DeSchamp, and an infant sister, Wanda DeSchamp. Friends may visit with Mary's family from 11:00 am until the hour of the graveside service of 11:30 am on Thursday, 13, 2022 at Oaktown Cemetery.
