Mary L. Bottoms

Mary L. Bottoms, 88, of Vincennes, passed away at 9:11 pm, Monday, November 19, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born October 10, 1930 to John and Thelma (Booker) Shappard.Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards with her family.Surviving are her children, Jack Bottoms of Vincennes, John Bottoms and his wife, Sandy of Carlisle, Joe Bottoms of Vincennes, and Mary Harper and her husband, Terry of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Shawn Bottoms, Jeremy Bottoms, Amanda Richards, Tonya Jones, Lori Quinett, John Bottoms, Mike Bottoms, Ryan Bottoms, Megan Bottoms, Danny Bottoms, Jennifer Bottoms, Brenda Bottoms, and Robin Bottoms; two step grandchildren, Todd Hale and Taryn Collins; along with several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aubrey "Jack" Bottoms; whom she married on April 2, 1949, and he preceded her on September 28, 2009; a sister, Norma Reeves, a infant brother; and a grandson, Troy Harper.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Friday, November 23, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Nocus officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God.
