Mary Mcgary

Mary Loudelle McGary, 81, of Vincennes, passed away July 3, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born Dec. 3, 1929, in Daviess Co., IN, she was the daughter of George & Anna (Harker) Meyer. Her parents preceded her, as well as a sister, Eloise, two brothers, Dulmar & Desco Meyer, and her husband, Robert F. McGary, Jr., who died Aug. 25, 1975. She was married to Robert on June 28, 1952. After graduating from Sandborn High School, Loudelle moved to Vincennes. She worked at PMA agricultural office, Miller Construction Co., and retired after 16 years as secretary at St. John's United Church of Christ. For mamy years, Loudelle did alterations. Her memberships included St. John's United Church of Christ, the church's Women's Guild, and the American Legion Auxillary. She served on the stewardship & service committee at church, and was a volunteer at the gift shop at Good Samaritan Hospital. Loudelle loved bowling, playing cards, and working in her flower garden. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl (& Mike) Bahr of Vincennes, two grandchildren, Mitchell & Katelin Bahr, and several nieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 606 N. 5th St., on Thursday, July 7, at 10:00, with Rev. Dr. Kate Lambertson and Rev. George Varns officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, from 5:00 - 8:00 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Burial will be in Asbury Chapel Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, the Rivet Athletic Booster Club, or the Good Samaritan Hospital Cancer Pavillon.
