Mary Mcmillin

Mary Wilma McMillin, 94, passed away at 5:35 am on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mary was born on March 12, 1920 the daughter of Harry and Ermie Esta (Webb) Wright. She married John Harold McMillin on may 27, 1939 and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1963.Mary attended school in Vincennes at Harrison and Lincoln High. She then attended Nursing School at Vincennes University and became a licensed LPN in 1968. She worked at Emison Truck Stop, Medal Gold Creamery, Good Samaritan Hospital, Junod Nursing Home, Crestview Nursing, and Oaktown Nursing Home.Survivors include five children, Mary Jeannette (McMillin) Jenne of Vincennes, Beverly Esta (McMillin) Akester of Washington, Nancy Edith McMillin of Vincennes, Paul McMillin, Jr. of Bicknell, Barbara Deanne McMillin of Washington, nine grandchildren and Seventeen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Harry Wright, mother, Ermie Esta Wright, son, John Harry McMillin, sisters, Edna Anderson, Bernice Munger, Pauline Collins, Mildred Dukes, Betty Wright; brothers, Paul J. Wright, Carl Wright; grandson, Paul Joseph Hagerty and one great-granddaughter.Funeral services for Mary will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main Street with Rev. Sherm Jenne and Rev. Jim Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
