Mary Sievers

Mary Louise Williams Cooper Sievers, 77 of 2628 Linwood Drive, Vincennes, crossed the threshold at 9:20 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the New Willow Manor Nursing Home. She was born August 5, 1935 in Vincennes to Charles and Wilburta Williams. Mary was a 1953 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School. She was employed by Bunny Bread for sixteen years and a receptionist at Charles Vieck DDS for seventeen years where she retired. Mary was a loyal member of St. John's United Church of Christ. For years she took part in "The Relay For Life." Mary was tireless in her devotion to family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Irvan Sievers, daughter, Rebecca Rozhon of Great Barrington, MA, sons, Brian Cooper of Vincennes and Charles Cooper of Danville, IN, three step-sons, David Sievers of Bruceville, Tim Sievers of Evansville, IN and Fred Steele of Vincennes, a brother, Leroy Williams of Lawrenceville, IL, and sisters, Sue Doerner of Vincennes, Evelyn Newman of Vincennes, Beverly Andrews of North Carolina, and Doris Gray of Virginia, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren several step grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wilburta Williams, daughter Gay Lynn and a sister Charlotte Starrett. A celebration of Mary's life will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Kate Lambertson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at Goodwin Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012.
