Mary Wininger

Mary B. Wininger, 86, of Vincennes, IN passed away September 30, 2024. She was born in Vincennes, IN on October 21, 1937, to the late George and Amelia (Evans) Smith. Mary married the love of her life, Leroy Wininger, on July 2, 1956, and was a homemaker all her life. She was a devote member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church and attended as often as she could. Mary was also an avid donor to the Disabled Vet Foundation, Shriner's Club, St. Jude Children's Hospital, and local Sheriff's Association.

In her free time, she enjoyed tending to her flowers, reading, watching soap operas and westerns, listening to gospel music, baking, shopping at yard sales, and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents George and Amelia Smith; husband Leroy Wininger; children Rick Wininger and Sandra Kay Wininger; siblings Georgie Willis and Margaret Street; son-in-law Richard Cummings; great-granddaughter Journee Knepp.

She is survived by her children Steven (Tedo) Wininger, Karen Wininger, Bev (Rob) Hueby, Kimberly (Chris) Parks; grandchildren Jason Taylor, Christina Sansom, Shannon Taylor, Sheena Ham, Brittney Bland, Samantha Samaroo, Tiffany Wagler, Nathan (Bri) Wood, Amanda Samaroo, Jordan (Norma) Wood, Nora Wood, Robert Boxley; 29 great-grandchildren; siblings Vicki Sanders, Anita Morrison, Rita Smith, Portia Morrison, Cathy Sanders, Debbie Wilkins, Randall Smith, Gary Smith; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
