Maxine Lafferty

Maxine Gremore Lafferty, 90, of Vincennes passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Willow Manor Nursing Home and Rehab. Maxine was born October 29, 1927 in Knox County the daughter of George and Mabel (Balgenorth) Gremore.Maxine was a member of the Upper Indiana Presbyterian Church and was a 1945 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School. She worked several years at the Knox County Court House, Clerk's Office and was very active in the Republican Party. She enjoyed traveling with her good friend Rose Marie Vollmer and spending time with her loved ones.Surviving are her children, Rodney Lafferty and his wife Sandy, Mark Lafferty and his wife Peggy, Pama Limbach and her husband Jon; brother Ken Gremore and his wife Ruth of Bloomfield; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Preceding Maxine in death was her husband of fifty-six years Alva Lafferty whom she married April 30, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2003; her parents, her sisters, Alma Rainey, Lois Meyer, Gladys Barmes, Juanita Spitts and Irma Pruesner.Funeral services for Maxine will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Mike Chappell officiating. Interment will follow in Upper Indiana Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 6, 20128 at Goodwin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Upper Indiana Presbyterian Church. Goodwin Funeral Home was honored to assist Maxine's family with arrangements.
