Melva Mulheron

Melva R. Mulheron, 98, 1325 Vigo, Vincennes, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1912, in Knox County, IN, the daughter of Walter Scott and Levina (Williams) Latshaw.Melva was a homemaker and had worked at Brown Shoe Factory. She was a graduate of Oaktown High School and was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include her son, David Mulheron of Salem, OR; daughter, Patty Vieck and her husband, J.M. of Vincennes; grandchildren, Cyndee Klein, Matt Mulheron, Pam Bobe, David Bobe and his wife, Laura, and Jodi Wilber and her husband, Alan.; eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Francis "Mose" Mulheron whom she married on April 28, 1933 and he passed away July 5, 1981; daughter, Janet Bobe; son-in-law, Bill Bobe; daughter-in-law, Gwen Mulheron; brothers, Virgil Latshaw, Delbert Latshaw and Lee Latshaw; and sister, Rena Cullison.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 8, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 803 Main St. with Rev. Dave Fleck celebrating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
