Merrill Akles

Merrill Akles, 83, passed away at 4:30 am on September 22, 2020 at Garden Villa Nursing Home in Bedford, IN. Merrill was born on October 1, 1936 in Shoals, IN the son of Homer and Katherine (Bridges) Akles.Merrill had worked for American Airlines in the sales department selling charters and also owned a travel agency in Indianapolis after his retirement. He enjoyed doing things around his house and being in his yard.Survivors include his children; sons, Dan Akles of Loogootee, IN, Mike Akles of Fishers, IN, Steve Akles of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Kim Devers of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Merrill was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Kenneth Akles and his sister, Rebecca Walls.Friends may visit with Merril's family from 1:00 until 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN 47501.
