Michael Coers

Michael Joseph Coers, 63, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020.He was born December 19, 1956 in Springfield, Illinois to Oliver and Marian (Lapicola) Coers.Michael retired from the B&O railroad as a conductor. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in which he helped deliver Christmas gifts for the needy, and also was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Washington.Surviving are a sister Janet Plahn of Vincennes and his nieces and nephew Kathryn Plahn, Matthew Plahn, and Elizabeth "Izzy" Plahn.Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother in-law Hank Plahn III.There will be no public services.
