Michael Douglas

Michael M. Douglas, 43, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2021. He was born October 26, 1977 in Evansville, IN to Mike and Kathleen (Goerges) Douglas. Michael attended Gibson Southern High School and was also home schooled before attending the University of Southern Indiana. He then married the love of his life Abby (Simms) Douglas on January 12, 2002. He was a member of Fair Haven Christ Fellowship. Michael enjoyed doing many outdoor activities such as fishing, skeet shooting, wood working, and camping but his true passion was spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles Douglas, Mary Lee Kniffen, Roy Goerges and Geraldine Freeman. He is survived by his wife, of 20 years, Abby (Simms) Douglas; children Madeline Douglas, Caleb Douglas, Issac Douglas and Andrew Douglas; parents Mike and Kathleen (Goerges) Douglas; siblings Laura (Jay) Gener and John Paul Douglas; and many nieces and nephews. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Douglas. Visitation will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at Holder's Funeral Home 319 S. Main St. Owensville from 11am to 1pm. Service will be at 1pm with Mike Douglas and Aaron Simms officiating . Mask will be required. Memorial donations can be made to Fair Haven Christ Fellowship.
