Michael Knoll

Michael A. Knoll, 67, of Vincennes, IN, passed away March 5, 2018, at his home.Michael had taught chemistry at Vincennes University. A graduate of Snyder High School in Ft. Wayne, IN, he received his BS degree from Rose - Hulman, and his masters degree from the University of Minnesota. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School, and served as an usher and greeter. He was also involved with Loaves and Fishes. Michael was a student of military history.Surviving is his wife, Ann (Chesterman) Knoll; his children, Valerie Scott and her husband, Rex, of Indianapolis, IN, and Rex's children, Ethan and Lucy, and Geoffrey Knoll and his wife, Rachel, of Edinburgh, IN; and his sisters, Mikki Solodow and her husband, Michael, of Indianapolis, IN, and Lois Carteaux and her husband, Paul, of Stevensville, MI.Michael was born April 26, 1950, in Ft. Wayne, IN, to George Henry and Jaydeen Josephine (Krechioch) Knoll. His parents are both deceased.Friends may visit with his family, from 4:00 - 8:00, on Thursday, at the Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 on Friday, at the First United Methodist Church.The family wishes that no flowers be sent. Donations may be made to First United Methodist Church or the Pet Port.
