Michael "Mike" Carmean

Michael L. "Mike" Carmean, 74, passed away at 10:34 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at his residence. Mike was born on August 9, 1945 in Lima, OH the son of Lester and Mary Helen (Briggs) Carmean. He married Diana (Reel) McCray on May 25, 2002.Mike was a member of First Christian Church and was a graduate of The Ohio State University. He had been Vice-President and Treasurer for Miller Construction for thirty-two years. Mike also enjoyed coaching youth sports, being with his family and watching his grandchildren's activities.Survivors include his wife, Diana Carmean of Vincennes; sons Scott Carmean and his wife Carol of Vincennes, Andy Carmean and his wife Annie of Vincennes; step-children, Desiree Cantwell and her husband Dr. Michael Cantwell, Micah McCray and his wife Christina of Louisville, KY; Aaron Schnelle and his wife Amy of Vincennes, Kim Berry, Krista Schnelle; brothers, Dick and Tom Carmean; sister Joy Palmer; grandchildren, Hayley, Darrian, Marissa, Calvin, Halle and Liam Carmean; step-grandchildren, Garrett, Parker, Lydia, Jacob McCray and Dylan Haskins and step great grandchildren, Mila and Remi McCray. Mike was preceded in death by his parents.Friends may visit with Mike's family on Monday, December 16, 2019 at First Christian Church, 319 Broadway St., Vincennes, IN from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. Mike's funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm at First Christian Church with Rev. Peter Haskins officiating.
