Michael Smith

Michael Allen Smith, 58, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014. Michael was born on March 8, 1956 in Vincennes the son of Robert Doyle, Sr. and Virginia "Jenny" (Hamilton) Smith.Mike was a self-employed dry-wall contractor.Survivors include his mother, Virginia "Jenny" Smith of Vincennes, daughter, Jennifer Crockett of Wilmington, NC, son, John Michael Crockett and his wife Kim of Asheboro, NC, daughter, Tori Smith of Sullivan; brothers, Robert Doyle Smith, Jr. of Bone Gap, IL, Tony W. Smith and his wife Becky of Cuba City, WI, Bryant Smith and his wife Susan of Vincennes, Stephen Smith of Vincennes; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Carrie Smith.Funeral services for Mike will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mike's family from 4-8 pm on Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
