Michael Thonn

Michael Thomas Thonn, 64, passed away at 8:55 am on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mike was born on July 3, 1956, in Elmhurst, IL the son of William and Louise (Lawler) Thonn. Mike married Lisa Davis in Gledale Heights, IL on November 10, 1979.Mike was a wonderful and loving husband,father and grandfather. Mike had been a foreman for Dumes for many years and was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Bicknell. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren very much and coached his daughters in softball for over twenty years. Mike loved golf and was a founding member of "EMGA" he was loved by all - to know Michael was to love Michael. Mike also enjoyed trivia, sports trivia and was just an overall sports enthusiast. Some of his favorite sports teams were the Chicago Cubs, the Bears and the Blackhawks. Overall, the most important thing in his life was his family.Survivors include his wife, Lisa Thonn, of Bruceville, IN; his mother-in-law, June Davis, children, Sarah Chattin and her husband Ryan of Vincennes, Katie Heiden and her husband Toby of Vincennes, Meghan Riggs and her husband Travis of Vincennes, Samantha Kerzan and her husband Kolby of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Cameron and Addison Chattin, Macee Braun and her husband Josh and their children, Madison, Mallory, Griffin, and Hudson Heiden, Gracie Hartley, Madison Woolsey and her husband Trevor and their children, Reagan, Keelyn, Tiah, Jaelyn, and Payton Riggs, and Kora and Klaire Kerzan. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Ray Thonn.Friends may visit with Mike's family from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes and from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 605 W. 4th St., Bicknell, IN 47512. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow with Rev. Tony Ernst officiating and Mike will be laid to rest in Bruceville Cemetery.
