Mikel Compton

Mikel Lloyd Compton, 60, of Vincennes passed away on December 30, 2015.He was born September 19, 1955 in Vincennes to Harold Lloyd and Betty (Zigler) Compton.Mikel retired from Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center and proudly served his country in the Army. Hunting and fishing were two of his favorite hobbies.Surviving are his sons, Zachary and Sara Compton of Jasonville and Jeremy Compton of Vincennes; his brothers and sisters, Robin Compton and his wife, Cathy, of Springville, IN, Rick Compton and his wife, Cindy, of Bruceville, Nikki Sue Hobbs and her husband, Bill, of Oaktown, and Vicki Dunn and her husband, Bill, of Vincennes; and his two grandchildren, Taylor Compton and Isabella Compton.He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Cathy Blagrave and his nephew, Eric Blagrave.Graveside services will be 1:00 Saturday January 2, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the All Weather Firing Squad.
