Mildred (Millie) Louise (Watkins) Devine, 84, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away on February 5, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born on October 20, 1936 to the late Joseph and Lena (Everett) Watkins, of Knox County Indiana. She graduated from Decker High School in 1955. She was married on September 3, 1955 to the late James (Jim) Harold Devine, who preceded her in death on August 24, 1978.Millie worked at IGA on Willow Street in the Meat Department, at K-Mart, as a CNA at Good Samaritan Hospital and Quad County Home Health Care. She loved working and serving the community. Millie was strong in her faith, loved cooking, chickens, crocheting and coloring. Her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved her kitty "Baby".Millie is survived by her sister JoAnn Smith of Spencer, Sister Delores Frisz; Daughter LeeAnn Vieck and her husband Ed; Daughter Anita Lafferty and her husband John; Grandchildren Andy Vieck and his wife Danielle, Nichole Carie and her husband Anthony, Brent Vieck and his wife Jill, Tiffany Garretson and her husband Drew, Amanda Woodworth and her husband Robert, Jenna Vieck, Branham Lafferty and his wife Krystal, Abby Vieck; Great-Grandchildren D'Lee Thomas and her husband Zach, Lexi Vieck, Will Carie, Lauren Carie, Lake Woodworth, Avery Garretson, Colton Lafferty, Liam Woodworth, Eva Lafferty, Lowell Woodworth, Taylor Ann Garretson, Ledger Woodworth; and many nieces and nephews.Millie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers James and Harold Watkins; sisters Juanetta Watkins, Mary Elizabeth Watkins, Dorothy Smith, Mennie Allen, Betty Smith, Thelma Swing; and her son, Greg Devine.The family would like to thank the staff at Gentlecare Nursing Home, and the staff at Good Samaritan Hospital ICU Unit and Respiratory Department for all your hard work and comfort measures given. You went above and beyond in her care. Your love, devotions, and friendships have been so special in her life and you all will forever be in our hearts.Friends may visit with Millie's family from 12:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Goodwin - Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., Vincennes, IN with Pastor Fred Nocus and Pastor Darren Williams officiating.
