Milo Shoulders

Milo Emmett "Mutt" Shoulders, 91, passed away at 11:40 am on August 26, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Milo was born on February 6, 1926 in Lawrence County, IL the son of Roy and Wilma Cleo (Seitzinger) Shoulders. He married Ada Belle Davison on May 29, 1949 and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2005.Milo served his country in the United States Army and attended Carlisle and Sullivan United Methodist Churches. He was a truck driver, retiring from Consolidated Freightways in 1992. Milo loved children, collecting McDonald's fast food toys, to drive around the country, and loved his dog Molly.Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Sue Goss and her husband Richard of Sullivan, IN; grandson, Benny Joe Shoulders and his wife Angela of Carlisle, IN; granddaughter, Kyla Sue Kuhnlein of Oregon; brother-in-law, Virgil Davison and his wife Mary of Vincennes; sister-in-law, Jackie Webber of Vincennes; and many nieces and nephews. Milo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ada Belle Shoulders, sons, Jackie Joe Shoulders and Michael Emmett Shoulders, and eight siblings.Funeral services for Milo will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN with Rev. Marilyn Couger and Rev. Ben Cassiday officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle, IN. Friends may visit with Milo's family from 2:30 until the hour of service time of 4:00 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday. Absolutely no flowers are to be sent per Milo's request.
