Mitzie Peet

Mitzie G. Peet, 64, formerly of Vincennes, passed away on Thursday at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville.She was born March 20, 1954 in Ripley, Tennessee to Jerry and Mattie (Peet) Burns.Mitzie was a day care teacher for Vincennes Community School Corporation and was a member of the Greater St. James Church.Surviving are her mother, Mattie Burns of Milwaukee, her children, Donnie (Fiance Lyndsie Eyler) Farrow of Evansville, Orlando Burns of Chicago, Mitzie Burns of Evansville, Requita Farrow of Vincennes, Shirlene Atkins, Sarah Farrow, Angela Farrow, Donald Farrow Jr., Rosetta Farrow, Lena Farrow, and Denise Benton; her brothers and sisters, Larry Peet Burns, of Evansville, Lillian (Aaron) Brawley of Indianapolis, Debra Burns of Milwaukee, Faye King of Milwaukee, LaTonia Burns of Milwaukee, David Burns of Atlanta, and Michael Burns of California; along with six grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her father; her husband, Donald Farrow Sr. along with two brothers.Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, August 10, 2018 at Second Baptist Church. Visitation will be from Noon until 1 at the church. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin Funeral Home are entrusted with the arrangements.
